but my feet are paying the price. My nine year old warned me before I went shopping at the Nordstrom 1/2-yearly sale (LOVE that sale). She said "Remember - don't fall for the beauty of the shoes!" (That's her code for "I know you like totally impractical shoes with ridiculously high heels but those aren't good for your feet so be practical and get something comfortable." Or maybe it's code for "Act your age, not your shoe size." I'm not really sure.)
Unfortunately, I can't be trusted to shop on my own. But she's in California so she doesn't get to supervise my shoe shopping.
But tell me - are these not totally pretty shoes! I got the white patent leather. The pictures are deceptive. Note that the heel is 3 1/2". Um, yeah. That's a bit high. But I swear they didn't feel that high at the store yesterday. Really.
Ok, I gotta go soak my feet before they rebel and refuse to take me to work tomorrow.

Hi there, Jessica!
I apologize for leaving my request in a comment, but I didn't see any contact information. I came across Daydreams and Musings while searching for bloggers that might be interested in reviewing a new product from our company (Brighter Minds Media). After reading some of your posts and reviewing the site, I was wondering if you (and your family) might be willing to review one of our new family DVD board games, Marvel Heroes Breakout. Unfamiliar with the format? Games are played using your DVD player and remote – spaces on the game board correspond to challenges on the DVD.
The Marvel Heroes Breakout DVD game will be hitting the market mid-August, but we’d like to give you a chance to experience the game and provide feedback prior to the release. Designed for players age 6 and up, up to four teams or individuals can play together and each player/team can choose the appropriate level of difficulty. The basic premise of the game is that the Super Villains have broken out of prison and your favorite Marvel Super Heroes need to recapture them. Villains are recaptured by solving/completing a variety of puzzles and games and you can choose to play either a short or long game.
Please respond to my email if you would like me to ship you a copy of the Marvel Heroes Breakout DVD game. Once you respond, I’ll ship the game via DHL and you should have it within a few days (usually 3-4). In your email, please include your mailing address and telephone number (your information will not end up on any mailing list or be sold to a third party – it will only be used to ship the game). Once you receive the game and have a chance to play it, I only ask that you post a review on your blog and provide a link to the game/our website. The game is yours to keep or give away to your readers, as a token of our appreciation for your time and honesty.
Should you have any questions or need any more information, please don’t hesitate to contact me using any of the methods below. Thank you for your time and I look forward to your response soon!
